"Reconnectant amb la Natura" és una col·lecció d’elements vegetals centrada en una única fulla daurada. Amb aquesta obra, l’artista reflexiona sobre la desforestació, les seves conseqüències globals i els principals factors que en provoquen l’augment. La peça vol ser una crida a reconèixer la urgència d’aquesta crisi — una realitat que la societat sovint prefereix ignorar.

L’artista posa el focus en diversos motius que impulsen la desforestació, com ara l’agricultura, la ramaderia, el desenvolupament urbà, la tala il·legal i, especialment, la mineria. Aquesta última és assenyalada pel seu paper en l’extracció de minerals preciosos — símbols de riquesa i estatus — a costa de la destrucció dels ecosistemes naturals.

El projecte es basa en dos objectius principals: en primer lloc, reconèixer els metalls com a part de la natura i criticar-ne l’explotació excessiva; i en segon lloc, atorgar un valor simbòlic a les fulles, donant veu i visibilitat a les nombroses espècies afectades per la desforestació.

Finalment, l’artista busca despertar empatia i conscienciar sobre la gravetat de la destrucció ambiental, alhora que expressa un gest personal de reconciliació — una disculpa simbòlica a la natura pel dany causat per l’acció humana.

"Reconnecting Nature" is a collection of plant elements centered around a single golden leaf. Through this piece, the artist reflects on the issue of deforestation, its global consequences, and the key factors contributing to its rise. The work serves as a call to acknowledge the urgency of the crisis—one that society often chooses to ignore.

The artist draws attention to the many drivers of deforestation, including agriculture, livestock farming, urban development, illegal logging, and mining. Mining, in particular, is highlighted for its role in extracting precious minerals—symbols of wealth and status—at the expense of natural ecosystems.

The project is guided by two primary objectives: first, to recognize metals as part of nature and critique the exploitation of mineral resources; and second, to assign symbolic value to the leaves, giving voice and visibility to the countless species impacted by deforestation.

Ultimately, the artist aims to evoke empathy and raise awareness about the gravity of environmental destruction, while also offering a personal gesture of reconciliation—a symbolic apology to nature for the harm caused by human actions.

Aquest projecte neix de la profunda preocupació i del malestar emocional de l’artista davant la creixent contaminació d’algunes aigües fluvials a Catalunya. Té com a objectiu conscienciar i generar reflexió a través d’un enfocament poètic i simbòlic, buscant establir un diàleg entre l’entorn natural i els éssers —humans i no humans— que l’habiten i hi interactuen. Mitjançant la creació d’una narrativa que combina la imaginació amb la urgència ecològica, espero fomentar un sentit renovat de connexió i cura cap a aquests ecosistemes fràgils.

El cor del projecte és una sèrie de personatges animats: figures escultòriques fetes de fang i materials recollits directament a les ribes del riu. Aquestes criatures híbrides formen un exèrcit simbòlic, guardians del riu, que es mantenen ferms per protegir l’aigua i la biodiversitat que l’envolta. La seva presència intimidant actua com una confrontació visual i emocional, un judici silenciós dirigit a aquells que contaminen o exploten l’entorn sense cap mena de consideració. Cada figura és única, amb el seu propi caràcter i personalitat, definida pels materials específics i objectes trobats utilitzats en la seva creació.

This project stems from the artist’s deep concern and emotional discomfort regarding the growing pollution of certain river waters in Catalonia. It seeks to raise awareness and spark reflection through a poetic and symbolic approach, aiming to establish a dialogue between the natural environment and the beings—both human and non-human—that inhabit and interact with it. By creating a narrative that blends imagination and environmental urgency, I hope to foster a renewed sense of connection and care toward these fragile ecosystems.

At the heart of the project is a series of animated characters: sculptural figures crafted from clay and materials collected directly from the riverbanks. These hybrid creatures form a symbolic army, guardians of the river, standing to protect the water and its surrounding biodiversity. Their intimidating presence serves as a visual and emotional confrontation, a silent judgment directed at those who pollute or exploit the environment without regard. Each figure is distinct, with its own character and personality, shaped by the specific materials and found objects used in its creation.

"Xarxa de pesca il·legal" és una joia que homenatja una selecció d'espècies marines en perill d'extinció, amb l'objectiu de conscienciar sobre el greu impacte de la pesca il·legal. Aquestes espècies, que podrien desaparèixer en pocs anys, representen una crisi ambiental que ha estat alimentada per l'acció humana.

L'artista busca humanitzar les deu espècies més amenaçades actualment i generar empatia a través de la representació visual d'aquestes, alhora que vol preservar la seva memòria abans que sigui massa tard. La peça és expansiva i oberta, amb la possibilitat de créixer a mesura que s'afegeixen noves espècies en perill.

En total, nou animals s'entrellacen formant una xarxa de pesca, fent referència directa a la causa de la seva amenaça.

"Xarxa de pesca il·legal" is a piece of jewelry that honors a selection of marine species currently at high risk of extinction, aiming to raise awareness about the devastating impact of illegal fishing. These species, likely to disappear in the coming years, represent an environmental crisis driven by human actions.

The artist seeks to humanize the ten most endangered species today and generate empathy through their visual representation, while also preserving their memory before it is too late. The piece is expansive and open-ended, allowing for growth as new endangered species are added.

En un moment de la nostra vida en què ambdues sentíem la necessitat de recuperar-nos de diverses maneres, la Clara Nadal i jo vam començar aquest projecte juntes. Ho vèiem com una forma de cura que ens ajudaria a alleujar els nostres malestars.

Partint de la tècnica d'ecoprint, ens vam interessar per les plantes medicinals i el que ens podrien oferir tant en valor estètic com terapèutic. D’aquí va començar una cerca de patrons i impressions, que va donar lloc a una col·lecció de teles amb el nom del tractament corresponent. Després de cercar remeis per a al·lèrgies, dolors menstruals, insomni i restrenyiment, vam combinar diverses herbes.

Vam observar les diferents tonalitats proporcionades per l’àcid fèrric, ajustant la mida de les teles i disposant les herbes de manera única per crear peces irrepetibles. La col·lecció consta de més de quinze teles de seda de diferents mides.

At a time when both Clara Nadal and I felt the need to heal in various ways, we began this project together. We view it as a form of care, helping alleviate our discomforts.

Starting with the ecoprinting technique, we became interested in medicinal plants for their aesthetic and therapeutic properties. This led to a search for patterns and impressions, resulting in a collection of textiles named after the treatments they represent. After researching remedies for allergies, menstrual cramps, sleeplessness, and constipation, we combined various herbs.

We then explored the different shades provided by ferrous acid, adjusting the fabric size and arranging the herbs in unique ways to create one-of-a-kind pieces. The collection consists of over fifteen silk textiles of varying sizes.

"La pell i les seves clivelles" és un projecte personal que recull autoretrats nus o seminus de l’artista, realitzats entre els anys 2018 i 2022. Aquestes imatges realitzades entre els anys 2018-2022 i inicialment preses des d’un punt de vista negatiu, es resignifiquen per cercar la reconciliació amb el cos, que evoluciona al llarg del temps.

El procés de transferència de les fotografies al teixit és lent i delicat, simbolitzant les cures mentals i físiques que acompanya el pas del temps. Les imatges mai mostren el cos sencer, sinó detalls subtils, convidant l’espectador a apropar-se i establir una relació íntima amb cada peça.

Només una fotografia revela el cos complet i el mètode de captura, sempre davant d’un mirall amb un telèfon mòbil que ha canviat al llarg dels anys. Les peces estan cosides amb fil de cotó vermell, un element que té un significat personal que l’artista deixa a la interpretació de l’espectador. La repetició de certes parts del cos reflecteix les zones de més conflicte intern.

Aquestes imatges no van ser creades amb la finalitat d'exposar-se, i la seva mostra actual simbolitza un acte de vulnerabilitat i acceptació personal.

"La pell i les seves clivelles" is a personal project that compiles nude and semi-nude self-portraits of the artist, taken between 2018 and 2022. These images, initially captured from a negative perspective, are now recontextualized to seek reconciliation with the body, which evolves over time.

The process of transferring the photographs onto fabric is slow and delicate, symbolizing the mental and physical care that accompanies the passage of time. The images never show the full body, only subtle details, inviting the viewer to approach and establish an intimate connection with each piece.

Only one photograph reveals the full body and the method of capture, always taken in front of a mirror with a mobile phone that has changed over the years. The pieces are stitched with red cotton thread, an element that holds personal meaning, left open to the viewer’s interpretation. The repetition of certain body parts reflects areas of internal conflict.

These images were never created with the intention of being exposed, and their current display symbolizes an act of vulnerability and personal acceptance.

La col·lecció més recent d’escultures s’inspira en els paisatges de la seva infantesa. Tot va començar amb una llibreta de quan era petita, on explicava amb innocència com els espais que l’envoltaven la captivaven en diferents moments. Això la va portar a iniciar un projecte que va trigar mesos a completar-se i que va anar acompanyat d’una recerca profunda. L’objectiu principal era recrear detalls que transportessin l’artista a aquells dies en què es sentia connectada amb aquells paisatges concrets, sovint sense ser-ne conscient.

El tema central d’aquesta obra és l’exploració de paisatges naturals, roques i altres formes orgàniques. Endinsa l’espectador en sentiments de nostàlgia, enyorança i una memòria romanticitzada del passat. També explora la relació entre la humanitat i el seu entorn, incloent-hi la nostra connexió amb els animals, les plantes i altres éssers vius.

The latest collection of sculptures draws inspiration from the enchanting landscapes of her childhood. It began all with a notebook from when she was a child and explained innocently how the spaces that surrounded her mesmerized her on different occasions. This led her to start a project that took months to finish, and it had deep research behind it. The main goal was to recreate details that brought the artist back to those days when she was connected with those specific landscapes without even noticing it.

The central theme of this work is the exploration of natural landscapes, rocks, and other organic forms. It delves into feelings of nostalgia, longing, and a romanticized memory of the past. It also explores the relationship between humanity and its environment, including our connection with animals, plants, and other living organisms.
